Dear Youth Hosteler,
During EPC meeting held in April 2013 at Youth Hostel Building,
Visakhapatnam unanimously proposed and resolved some suitable/ possible
activities to be organized in respective Units as part of Unit activities
in view of WED-2013.The theme for WED-2013 was already handed over in the
meeting itself. We proposed to…
1. Celebrate WED on June 5 and to continue its activities by display
Banners at places of mass food consumption like function halls, Marriage halls,
College hostels etc. These banners will help us to create awareness on the
Theme of WED-2013 given by UNEP.
2, Distribute pamphlets to enlighten the theme
of WED-2013 and Conservation of Environment in general.
Bhimavaram unit is implementing the same. The size of banner
is about 2x3 feet and the ordinary flex is cost about Rs.50-00 only. The
manuscript is about 3 to 4 pages but after printing it reduces to two pages of
standard pamphlet.
Unit can copy the script and can change title can use as pamphlet of
awareness material. I am also suggesting the units to inaugurate the programme
prior to 5th June and continue during the monsoon by planting saplings of
varieties so as to promote biodiversity.
Units also can distribute cloth bags useful for market
for carry groceries. The cloth bags should bear YHAI logo and theme of
environment conservation & Recycling. It is also proposed to provide
as many as tree guards for protecting saplings if funds available. Please
circulate immediately the same to all of our units.
